Escape to fantasy world

What I write is fiction. A world of erotic fantasy.  I’ve read quite a bit of it too, though now I prefer to write.  The key thing is that it isn’t real. There are characters, places and locations that are not real, they don’t exist.  They are conjured up out of my imagination and slotted into the real world around us.  I describe some detail, but ultimately the reader can … Read more…

Next book creeping closer

The third book in the Trust Me series is close to be publishing.  The cover is done and following a short break away from home, I should be back in November to finish off the final preparations. A little interlude from the book – a kiss.  Often under-rated as erotic foreplay.  I like the sensuality of two lips meeting and being a bridge for communicating intent : –   Kissing … Read more…

The time and place

Everyone’s life is busy. Work, family, downtime when tiredness takes over and there are simply not enough hours in the day.  Scheduling that all important connection can be tricky and not always fit to the predetermined slots. Gemma and Jason have their weekend scenes, the time for her to submit to his will and be under his control.  What happens when the time and place are not matching the need? … Read more…

The dance

Is D/s always about discipline and punishments? No and for some, it plays no part in the dynamic whatsoever.  D/s is ultimately about power exchange. The willingness of the submissive to be under the control of the Dominant.  The abilities of the Dominant to look after their sub and feed the submissive’s need for dominance. When there are constraints, on time and location, the play can be intense and the … Read more…

The CEO’s wife

There are going to be some samplings of book three in the coming weeks…… Her situation has changed dramatically in a space of a year. Gemma is now wealthy, has a relatively new job and has recently returned from an intense week of submitting to Jason in their New York apartment.  Adapting to change is tricky, especially when so much has happened in a short space of time. Jason doesn’t … Read more…

The art of distraction

There will be a delay in the third book 🙁  I’m busy writing other books too and juggling many tasks about them. I can reveal a little more now and again. Below is an extract.  Lazy Gemma has been disciplined for keeping the house in a mess. Having been corrected, she brings a snack to Jason while they watch a film. Except, Jason is distracted by his Gemma…… ***** When … Read more…

Introducing the Dom

The third book – Trust Me to Keep You – continues the story of Jason and Gemma. In this volume, I shift the focus from time to time on to Jason.  So many BDSM books are told solely from the perspective of the submissive girlfriend / lover  and the Dominant is left in the dark. In this book I bring Jason out into the limelight a little more. He  still … Read more…

Facing the consequences

Fear.  Some times it is craved. The excitement and apprehension of facing something scary and unknown. Perhaps an exhilarating ride at the fairground, or watching a horror movie or may be the challenge of doing something for the first time – like abseiling. In BDSM, it is part of the anticipation, when a scene is about to begin.  If bound or gagged, it is the racing heartbeats. To be blindfolded, … Read more…

The order of events

I started out planning to write a trilogy, there may be more eventually, but I’m sticking to the first three for the moment. It is always assumed, when you write a story in parts, that they will read in order. However, eBooks are not neatly lined up on the shelf. People find one volume, but not necessarily the previous or the next.  I am hoping I have provided sufficient back … Read more…

Honorific titles

There is a protocol when describing certain relationships to apply honorific titles.  In particular when referring to Dominants (or Dommes).  See, I did it just then.  I capitalised the first letter. For a submissive, the lower case.  I do differentiate when writing non-fiction and I would do for real people, though I have not written about real people.  However, in my books?  It was a dilemma. To begin with I … Read more…

Maintaining the roles

How to maintain submission when perhaps the kink  is only infrequent or life is too busy to find the time? Many couples who are in a D/s relationship or may be a Domestic Discipline lifestyle, use maintenance to keep their roles in focus. Re-affirming submission through some form of ritual or in many cases – a spanking. Now my characters don’t have the opportunities all the time, but the Dominant … Read more…

Pushing the limits – excerpt

Another excerpt from book 2 Trust Me to Own You Punishments happen, there not always part of a D/s dynamic, but Jason is a disciplinarian…… ******* The journey back from Jason’s office was frosty in atmosphere and he appeared to remain in executive mode for the duration. Looking out the window, he seemed to be deep in thought and Gemma did not trouble him with questions.  Her skin was starting … Read more…

What do you think?

Getting reviews is something an author or any artist needs.  If I was managing a shop, I would be judged by the number of goods I sell. If I were a teacher by the grades of my students. If I were a doctor by the health of my patients. These are tangible things which can be calculated and measured.  The creative arts are couched in subjectivity. What is one person’s … Read more…

Offer on at Smashwords!

It’s here, there and soon to be everywhere – the second book Trust Me to Own You is out on Smashwords in many formats and on offer for free until end of July. ***** Jason was not one for prying into the personal effects of his wife but on one occasion, while she soaked in a hot perfumed bath, he had gone into her hobby room to return a book … Read more…

Those last minute things

Publishing a book is rather similar to publishing a blog post, at some point you have to hit the button and stand back. Unfortunately for ebooks there are lots of buttons.  There is the formatting button – have I left in hidden characters that will screw up the conversion etc. Then I have to convert to different formats; the one for Kindle, for Smashwords and so on, creating numerous slightly … Read more…

Transforming the characters

Does a Dominant have to be rich and successful? Well no. In fact they usually ordinary everyday people, in everyday jobs and blend in without being noticed. Yet my Dominant is a wealthy CEO. As a child I loved to write SciFi stories. The unbelievable could be made believable just because it is fantasy. If the characters need to travel to one end of the galaxy to other, they can; … Read more…
