Applying the finishing touches is a never-ending task. I listen to music, tap my feet and keep my spirits high. In between, I’m checking, re-checking those words. It’s like hitting send on email, at what point is it done, completed and ready to send out over the wireless world? I’m not a perfectionist, not in most things, and yet this creative side of me wants it to be perfect. I don’t have a degree in English, my education in grammar is not perfect; I can let some things slip. The essence of what I have written has to be right. The story told as I want it to be. This is the first of many I hope and it sets the scene. From here the characters develop, mature and evolve, so must the books.
Writing is a joyous struggle. I’m loving every minute.
