Below is an excerpt from my forthcoming book Touched.

Tania has met her masseur, Adam, in a restaurant and he has presented her with a proposal, something she could not have foreseen. She has to decide whether to take their relationship out of the massage parlour or turn down his offer.

“We both need this, Tania. I know I do. You’re forcing me to do something I don’t do. That has to mean something.”

“Forcing you,” she said, bemused. “You brought this to me.”

“Did I?” He curled his upper lip. “I’m sure you know what your body is telling you. However, let’s not quibble about details.”

He had paid the bill in her absence, something she was happy not to argue about.

“I’ll give you my mobile number. You can text or call when you’re ready. Don’t leave it too long. I don’t think you can wait. Nor can I.”

Tania wanted to call him an arrogant prick, but his analysis of her mental state was accurate. She wanted him in her that night. The vision of him fucking her while his fingers worked their magic kept her mouth firmly shut. As if she had gone into a robotic state, she gave him her mobile number.

“I’m trusting you with this,” Tania said. She glanced at her wristwatch. “Shit. I have to go. I’m supposed to be preparing stuff for tomorrow.”

“Work, work,” tutted Adam. “You really should let it go sometimes.”

“I will if you will, because it seems to me, Adam, you’re just as obsessed with it as I am.”

Her comment had hit some kind of target and for the first time since they had sat to dine, Adam looked acutely uncomfortable.

“Maybe,” he said enigmatically.

He stood and slid her chair back. The same gentlemanly approach he had used on her arrival. She found a small thank you slipped out coyly. Try as she may, she could not rebuff him. A sticky glue had been squeezed between them and it was becoming more adhesive with each passing hour.

Adam hailed a taxi for her as they stood on the pavement. She hovered with the door open for a second, his hand on the handle. Before she bent down to enter the cab, he grabbed at the back of her neck with his other hand and pulled her towards him.

“No,” she murmured at him.

Adam gave a tiny shake of his head back at her and moved his lips closer. “Don’t think,” he said softly.

The pressure of his lips on hers was sudden, quick and on the edge of painful. The hand behind her head kept her from moving backward and she had to respond to him. Her lips parted, a tiny space between them, and he sucked the air from her mouth before releasing her. She had given a little of herself to him and it seemed to quench his rush of lust.

Clambering into the cab, neither of them said goodbye. The driver moved off the moment Adam slammed the door shut. The wheels squealed and Tania stared at the glass divider separating her from the cabbie. She was determined not to look behind her. However, it was a weak emotion that broke down within milliseconds. She turned and peered out of the back window. He stood there on the edge of the kerb, fixed to the same spot, with his hands stuffed in his jacket pockets and staring at her departing cab.

“Where to, love?” the driver asked.

It took a few seconds for Tania to find her voice and answer him. Adam’s kiss had stolen more than the air she had been breathing.
