#Satspanks – Held captive

Welcome to Saturday Spankings.

I’m sharing a snippet from my WiP, In Enemy Hands, which is due out this week. Set during the turbulent times of the English Civil War, Hester, a Royalist has surrendered her home to Daniel, Captain of a troop of Dragoons. Her failed attempts at espionage have resulted in her being held captive in her bedroom. I think she wishes he’d come up with a different punishment.

She gave him a curtsey. As he reached the door, she had to speak. “Why didn’t you spank me?  I mean, wouldn’t it make you feel better, to punish me?”

He turned to face her, frowning. “You don’t think locking you up is punishment?”

“Yes, but… I assume you’ve locked me up to stop me running away and speaking about what I read.” She remained on her feet.

“I don’t know if I can trust you again.”

“I can’t promise, Daniel, you know I can’t. What would you do in my shoes? Would you abandon your cause, your family’s honour?”

“I would know when my cause was lost, to accept things as they are and not to fight an unnecessary battle.”

Her shoulders slumped. He didn’t understand. Didn’t he have a family home to protect? She still knew so little about him.

Will Hester and Daniel remain enemies? Tomorrow’s excerpt on Sexy Snippets might give you a little clue.

  1. Great snippet Jaye. Interesting how she doesn’t see it as punishment. I suspect they may never quite see eye to eye, but won’t remain enemies.

  2. I think she wishes he’d come up with a different punishment, too. She even comes right out and says it. I guess she may need to knock him upside the head, come on dude! Great snippet.
