When I start planning a new book I often write a backstory for the characters, so I know where they are coming from and where they must go. I did this for my current release, To Know You, and it spawned a few short stories. To celebrate the launch, I’ve released these stories as a book, Trust Me: Beginnings, which is available on Kindle Unlimited. This week’s snippet is taken from Disciplining Gemma.
Gemma is a submissive when she wants to be and has casual arrangements with strict disciplinarians who cater for her needs, and theirs.

Re-voicing her disrespect was sufficient to progress what was supposed to happen next.
Alan folded his arms. “Lift up your skirt. Now, young lady.”
The voice, dammit, what was it about men with stern tones? With trembling fingers, she lifted the hem of the leather skirt. The stiff fabric struggled to rise past her thighs. Tugging, she dragged the leather over her bottom, revealing what lay beneath. A plain white thong, just as he had asked.
“Good,” he nodded. “Bend over. In the middle of the room. Touch your ankles.” He rattled off his commands like a drill sergeant.
She much preferred to bend over something and have it support her. Instead, she was going to have to balance herself. Reaching down she spread her legs a little and managed to grasp her ankles. He adjusted the line of the skirt, exposing the bare lobes of her arse. She shivered.
