Jaye Peaches did a fantastic job of bringing history to life in this sweet and sexy romance.
One of my favourite reads this year so far. Brilliant portrayal of the period, strong, believable characters and some seriously HOT spankings. Definitely one to recommend if you like your historical erotic romances with a liberal dash of heat.
I thoroughly enjoyed this story. I have read many historicals, yet the plot for this one seemed unique to me with our heroine remaining behind with her home to protect it as the enemy invades. I loved the dynamics of our main couple, both before they admitted their love for each other and after. The ending was perfect!

This was such a great romance that is set right smack in the middle of a historical war! Hester meets Daniel and the sparks start to fly as their chemistry heats up. Add in some danger and suspense and this one is a winner!

Very well written in a historical period gives this book spice. I found myself smiling often with the misbehavior’s Hester gets herself into. I recommend this book to anyone who loved a book set back in time.
