Welcome to Saturday Spankings!
I’ve a Victorian Romance coming out soon, so I thought I would share with you a snippet from my other Victorian spanking tale – Viola’s Heart Strings.
Anton’s new wife, Viola, is having to adjust to her husband’s particular style of marriage.

“I see.” He crossed his arms, pursing his lips. “I would consider spanking you, but… I have decided to suspend that approach and withhold the use of the rod. In the meantime, I shall concentrate on lecturing and other… disciplinary measures.”
“The rod!” Nobody, not even her father in the days before he travelled overseas, had caned her. “I’m a lady. You treat me as if I am a child.” She clenched her fists.
Anton sprang to his feet. “Most certainly not. What is important, Viola, is that you will grow, become a better person and wife, and through your love for me, you will flourish.”
She had touched some raw nerve, something sparked in his dark eyes. “You’re very confident of the powers of love. What of you, sir. Your love for me?”

After a chance meeting, young Viola Pritchard finds herself married to the enigmatic Sir Anton Valise. The innocent Viola falls fast for her new husband. She loves him and only wishes to please him and be the wife he wishes her to be. She’s surprised to find that she craves Anton’s passionate and dominant lovemaking, and even lusts for him to take her in more erotic ways.
Determined not to repeat mistakes from his past, Anton tries to keep Viola at a distance. Her sweet submission and unflagging loyalty prove to be his weakness. The baronet introduces rules to ensure his new wife will remain obedient, not trusting that her intentions could be so pure.
When Viola discovers a series of secret rooms and a diary left behind by Anton’s late wife, she unearths a chilling mystery. With tension between the couple rising, Anton and Viola’s relationship reaches a crisis point. Can Viola crack the armor around her baronet’s safely guarded heart?

5* Amazon Review
This was perhaps one of the best books I’ve ever read in the D/s genre (and I’ve read many!). Viola’s Heart Strings is an erotic, well-written tale about a young woman who meets and falls in love with a baron who has particular tastes: the need for control, obedience, and submission. As Viola learns to obey her husband, he teaches her to embrace her own sexuality inherent in her submission, and thus begins their sensual, sometimes dark, heavily erotic evenings of sexual pleasure. Though gentle and kind, her husband remains aloof, and Viola yearns to discover the secret he keeps from her and his mysterious past.
This book is deeply erotic but tastefully done, filled with mystery and intrigue, and unabashedly sensual in the exploration of power play, self giving, and love.

Fabulous erotic story of concealed desire and irresistible passion. Characters really pulled me in. A great read, especially for those who like their history spicy and their heroes dark.

I always enjoy Peaches’ books. She has a variety of time periods, sections of the world, & her love & sex scenes are always hot & imaginative.
Viola is an impoverished companion to a demanding rich woman when she meets Sir Anton in Nice. Anton is on a grand tour trying to forget what happened to his first wife, plus attending to various business matters on the continent. He decides that viola might be a good fit for him. He’s looking for a submissive wife who will accept his kinks & look good on his arm. He’s hardly prepared for Viola’s inquisitive nature, which causes him to teach her quickly about his demands.
There are a few villains, a lot of sex, & final retribution as Viola & Anton discover each other’s secrets & lies, & eventually become more than master & submissive. I liked these two, & the mystery was pretty good too.
This was a good read. I enjoyed the author’s writing and the progression in the leads romance was great. I also enjoyed the mystery element in it. I’m not a fan of books with spanking and BDSM but in this book it wasn’t over done so I appreciate that.
Other disciplinary measures… that gives me chills, in a good way.
I’ve a feeling sweet Viola will be learning quite a bit from her dominant, implacable husband. But he’s going to learn something from her as well in the process. Love will out.
Will be lookig for the new one.
Hi Jaye, sorry I’m late to the party. Great snippet, other disciplinary measures gave me the chills too.
