A Strict Gentleman

A Victorian spanking romance with a time travel twist.

Twenty-three-year-old Kelly Regan didn’t expect much excitement when she took a job as a curator at a historic estate, but upon encountering a beautiful, mysteriously powerful mirror she suddenly finds herself transported back to the Victorian era.

Kelly is intrigued by the estate’s owner, the handsome bachelor Sir Henry Yarlswood, and in order to learn more about life in his household she impersonates another woman and obtains a position as his maid. But Henry is not a man who tolerates dishonestly from his staff, and after her deception is discovered Kelly’s bottom is bared for a painful, embarrassing spanking.

The stern punishment only increases Kelly’s desire to know more about her handsome employer, but after she is caught snooping through his personal effects she is promptly stripped naked for an even more shameful chastisement. Despite her sore bottom, however, she is deeply aroused by Henry’s firm-handed dominance, and when he claims her properly his masterful lovemaking leaves her spent and satisfied. But will their blossoming romance be enough to keep her by his side, even if it means leaving her old life behind forever?

Amazon Reviews:

this book was everything that I love in a story. Time travel, erotic power, period appropriate language and references. Masterful!

This is a time travel spanking romance, with more than a few twists and turns, counting on a magical mirror and a full moon! The story is extremely well crafted and developed, and has more disciplinary and erotic spankings than one can normally hope for. The heroine (Kelly) accidentally travels back in time and is confronted by our hero (Henry) who just happens to be a Victorian gentleman with great interest in the spanking of young women and documenting and illustrating the event in his journal. As it turns out, Kelly is more than interested and excited by the idea of being spanked, particularly if it was to be by Henry. As the story progresses, and the spanking situations escalate, we begin to see that Kelly may be more of a submissive (and even a bit of a masochist) than Henry could ever have hoped for. This is a hot, HOT, story that will excite even the most laid back of readers. In what has been a great summer for new spanking romance releases, this may be the best yet. 5 Gold Stars for having everything a reader could desire: great story, loving romance, erotic spankings, graphic sex, and an absolutely wonderful ending.

My first book by Jaye Peaches and I really enjoyed it. I love a good time travel novel.
Kelly was a curator and already working in the house so things weren’t to strange for her. Henry was a wonderful strict gentleman with an open mind. They had great interaction together and I loved how they experimented together. Those scenes were very sexy.. Kelly’s doubts about what to do, were very real.

Whenever Jaye Peaches releases a new book it’s always an automatic one-click for me. This time, I hesitated momentarily because I don’t typically enjoy time travel. I do, however, love how she writes in a historical setting. I took a chance and was not disappointed. Far from it – I was captivated. Three genres – time travel, historical and contemporary – blend seamlessly. Kelly and Henry are bold and refreshing characters, the plot suspenseful and gripping. The spanking scenes are scorching hot with the underlying emotional connection that makes them not only steamy, but satisfying. Once again, Jaye Peaches delivered a romantic, engaging and sexy tale that I highly recommend.

Kelly is entranced with a mirror in the historic home where she is the curator and falls under it’s magic spell. She is transported back to the 1800’s and encounters both the reality of being a servant in a wealthy Victorian home and the strict rules that govern her behavior there. Her curiosity earns her discipline from the owner of the home. She is aroused and unsure of her needs. The story has many tricks and turns and will keep you guessing what she will choose until the end. A very enjoyable read.

The author did a great job of using time-travel to add suspense and mystery to this book. The plot was interesting and I was captivated until the very end. I really liked the characters – both main and supporting. I liked how the author wrapped everything up at the end.

This is a really interesting and intriguing story – Kelly works as a curator at Howgarth House- once a great family home but now a museum. She is fascinated by a large ornate mirror and feels drawn to it. One day she goes too near it and ends up going through the mirror. She quickly realises she has landed in the past- and also realises she can’t get back to her own time until the next full moon – in a month! Being an enterprising woman she quickly makes up a fairly plausible story about being a maid. She is quickly attracted to her new employer Henry and he to her. They embark on a clandestine affair which includes strict discipline from Henry. The mirror and time travel plays a large and interesting part in this story as does Kelly’s dilemma- to stay or go back to her mundane 21st century life.
