A kinky writer’s tool box

I guess all sorts come by this blog; some to read and explore, others a quick dip and I assume a few find themselves here by mistake. I don’t know. I only see stats. However, I expect there are few out there who are interested in writing, perhaps writing erotica, maybe kinky things. Here are a few helpful books if you are interested in finding out more about what’s involved. I wish … Read more…

#TickleMePink – A war, a simple life and a few spankings

When it comes to writing romances, English history provides plenty of opportunities, in particular love affairs during wars. The English generally, where possible tried to fight their battles abroad as it gave less chance of mucking up our beautiful countryside and ruining our castles. The Normans were the last to conquer the British Isles, other’s tried and failed. You might be led to think nothing happened for centuries after 1066. As … Read more…

Things you may not know…. #amwriting

Some things you may not know…. randomly arranged. I write in A5 format because it makes for shorter lines and easy on the eyes. I turn off white spaces between pages, I like to scroll and see what I write undefined by pages. I hate white screen backgrounds. They dazzle. I have the outline open in a separate window, arranged into scenes. I read a scene once then start writing. When … Read more…

#SpankAtoZ – O is for …

O is for onomatopoeia Spanking is a physical activity. You can visualise the squirming victim, the rise and fall of the implement, the flesh turning a different shade of colour. Then throw in the emotional aspect too – fear, excitement, sadness or fun – a picture appears in the mind. What mustn’t be forgotten is the sound of spanking. The rich array of words which conjure up the nature of a … Read more…

Busy, busy

I missed out on Saturday Spankings, no Monday Morsel today either as I’m catching up on outstanding stuff and also have commitments due to my ‘other life’. I will be doing a Dungeon Crawl on Wednesday. As an update, here is the latest on where I am at writing wise: Contract signed on a new submission with Totally Bound – all very exciting as it is my first time working … Read more…

Making a conversation

When it comes to writing a little fiction, I’m inclined to be spontaneous. A burst of words spews out and takes shape on the page. Later, I massage them into something worthy and usable. Some fit together and merge into longer texts, a short story, a chapter…. some stay little, have a life of their own and linger detached….. here is one. **** “The housekeeper is not happy with the … Read more…

Frantic fingers

Is it possible to write a book in a matter of days?  Well, the essence of a book – the skeletal structure upon which to hang the flesh.  I appear to be finding out.  I thought I would slow up in the approach to the holidays, but instead I have been a juggernaut, crashing into my computer with reams of words spewing out on to the screen.  My fingers have … Read more…

Something is in the air

I’ve been busy writing.  Sometimes I’m editing, revisiting and revising, other times I’m working on new things.  A short story, which may be the first chapter of a new book, or outlining ideas for others.  Much will be pushed to one side, trashed in the draft folders or left undeveloped.  It happens.  Not everything comes to fruition or has the makings of something substantial. New things are coming.  Gemma and … Read more…

Escape to fantasy world

What I write is fiction. A world of erotic fantasy.  I’ve read quite a bit of it too, though now I prefer to write.  The key thing is that it isn’t real. There are characters, places and locations that are not real, they don’t exist.  They are conjured up out of my imagination and slotted into the real world around us.  I describe some detail, but ultimately the reader can … Read more…

Finishing touches

Applying the finishing touches is a never-ending task.  I listen to music, tap my feet and keep my spirits high.  In between, I’m checking, re-checking those words.  It’s like hitting send on email,  at what point is it done, completed and ready to send out over the wireless world?  I’m not a perfectionist, not in most things, and yet this creative side of me wants it to be perfect. I … Read more…
